MANILO is a Swiss fashion brand based in Lucerne that specializes in high-quality blouses, dresses, and shirts featuring exclusive print designs.
We believe that clothing can be more than just a piece of clothing. It should bring joy, express personality, and help people feel good about themselves. That’s why we create unique designs that have character and deliberately stand out from fleeting trends.
But how did MANILO actually come to be?
The story begins in the spring of 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we got to know each other and spent a lot of time together in nature—in the mountains, by the water, and at our favorite spots around Lake Lucerne. It was at one of these spots that the idea for our own fashion brand was born—a brand that combines our passion for stylish clothing, high-quality materials, and distinctive designs.
Thanks to our many years of experience in the Swiss textile and fashion industry, we realized that many people are looking for clothing that not only looks good but is also well-made, comfortable to wear, and produced sustainably. That’s exactly how MANILO was born.
Today, we design all our prints in Switzerland. Each pattern is developed with great attention to detail, making our blouses, dresses, and shirts truly special. Our goal isn’t to stand out as loudly as possible, but to provide lasting joy through stylish designs with character.
There are real people behind MANILO. As a family-owned business, we value personal interaction with our customers and our partner stores throughout Switzerland. This closeness to the market helps us develop collections that meet the needs of our customers while still bearing our signature style.
Just as important to us as the design is the manufacturing of our products. Production takes place in Gbely, Slovakia, about 70 kilometers north of Bratislava. The production facility is certified according to STeP by OEKO-TEX® and meets the highest standards for environmental protection, social responsibility, and sustainable production processes. We source most of our fabrics from northern Italy to ensure short transport distances and high quality.
What has driven us from day one is our love for beautiful products that are developed with care and manufactured responsibly.
